I agree with the Philip Schofield shouts if they are because he was the vacuous, smiley personification of bland daytime tv, but not if they are due to him having a relationship with someone younger. He was allowed to do this and, unless it has been proven that he coerced/pressurised/intimidated his 'victim' into the relationship, these shouts suggest that moral outrage has reared its ugly head again. As far as i'm aware wrongdoing has not been proven, even using the civil standard of proof/balance of probabilities. Apologies if this is wrong. As someone on TV said about the current scandal (also no illegality proven yet) it has a faint whiff of homophobia - aging Hollywood star and trophy wife? Fill yer boots, son! Two blokes? He's a paedo!

Whatever has happened, from what we’ve been told, the alleged victim in all this requested via their lawyer that the Sun pull the story before it went to publishing. They should have adhered to this and sat on the story whilst they investigated or at the very least included the denial in their reports but chose to go with it.
