Biggie Smalls was far better musically in terms of how he timed his vocals to tracks etc and rumour is most of it was on the spot off the top of his head. If you think about it most of Tupacs good songs featured another good rapper i.e Snoop, Dre etc.

The Beach Boys are my over rated pick overall though

It's not just white boys that love Pac. He's an icon all over the world.

The thing with Pac is he wasn't the most lyrical, he didn't have the best flow, he put out an awful lot of subpar music and gave the mic to far too many weed carriers. Big Syke, FFS. He was still decent on the mic though, his best stuff carries real emotion, and when he hits the spot there are few to match him. He was a fine character actor as well.

Still overrated though.

Also Travis Barker mate. The mans ridiculous and way too good a musician for a pop punk band.

I should probably stay out of this. That kind of overproduced, clean MTV pop punk is probably my least favourite type of music there is.

edit. Just checked; Randy Rhodes was the bloke I was thinking of. Died in a plane or sommet iirc, Torme replaced him.

This is why I'm finding hard to think of a band myself, it's too based on taste. I was gonna say the Beatles but that's purely because I dont like them. However I understand why they're so revered and how much they've given to the music that I do love. So I cant pick them.

Absolutely. That's what makes it so much fun. Music is completely subjective and personal.

If you hate the Beatles, say the Beatles and "come at me" lol
