Actually I take that all back -
Onismor Bhasera has played 11 times for Zimbabwe and the problem was just getting around the fact Zimbabwe arent in the the top 70 Fifa Rankings.
Nenad Milijas has play around 10 games for Serbia so that would probably go through too.
The only one similar is the Kalinic player to Rovers. Him and Banega are the same age and played the same amount of games. BUT Banega plays for a better ranked international side and is a bigger name.

We are trying to loan Banega, is that really going to convince them he’s a special talent? I have a feeling that’s what let us down with Victor Obinna. I could be wrong though.

The man TB could be right. But its not as if we have tried to buy English players. Anyway, its a joke. Its not as if these people are coming over to claim benefits or even use our health service. They are infact helping with the tax they pay and the money they spend.

At the appeal, manager Rafael Benitez and chief executive Rick Parry argued that the player was easily good enough to warrant a permit. But the appeal board disagreed and upheld the original decision.
Benitez believed that Gonzalez was not only the best player in Chile but also one of the most exciting prospects from La Liga. The work permit appeal board thought otherwise.
The big thing, I'm guessing, because the lad is still young is to pursuade the FA Banega is a special talant that will enhance the English game.
I think the thing with Obinna was that they probably didnt think he was that good a player so upheld how many international games he's played.

Sounds like its all about pursuading the FA that "the lad is class, we're skint, give us a break, there's a buyhim clause we could take up...come on govna"

i think he will get it on appeal.
64 top flight games in the last 2 years aswell as an 18 million pricetag , for a 21 year old thats impressive.
boca , valencia , at madrid = 3 top clubs.
4 cups in 2 years = libertadores cup ,u20 world cup , spanish cup , olympic tournament.
imo thats shows pedigree.

Interesting that Liverpool are in for this guy . Their squad is a bit thin on the ground , but I half expected them to invest in another striker . Maybe they are going to spend a few quid before the window closes .
