Moyes Fault 100%

Still waiting to see why he's worth 11.25mill just looked lazy and not particularly bothered, still to be convinced.

Am baffled why Evertonians keep saying this. What did they expect?

Yakubu is lazy, always has been and always will be which is why I didn't want Moyes to sign him. Don't expect him to change.

I hope he proves me wrong and somehow scores 15-20 goals a season... somehow cant see that though.

Well he only has statistics to back him up, trust me as soon as he scores one goal against Liverpool he will be fine.

I can't help but feel that certain players get labelled very quickly and that label is then used to bash them on a regular basis. Beattie was regularly called fat, no doubt by people considerably more deserving of the title (heck even Frank Lampard is called fat!), and Yakubu now has the lazy tag around his neck. No doubt whenever he doesn't zip around like AJ he'll be branded lazy as it's the easy thing to do.

From a performance point of view the problem last night was in the midfield in that they were given a lesson in how to pass the ball by a pretty average outfit. That we should have won comfortably even though outplayed for large chunks is evidence of their relative merits as a team.

Why was AJ the designated penaltytaker when Yak is used to take them and score on them? A ploy to try and get AJ back to form by allowing him a couple of chances to score from the spot?

AJ scored around 10 penalties for Palace in their PL season and has scored a few for us before Arteta took on the job. He's hardly a rookie at the job.

Know that.. but the point I was making was that Yak is on form and therefore more likely to score than AJ. So why let him take both of them?

Well AJ scored the first penalty. I don't know the rules but I suspect if a kick has to be retaken then it has to be the same player that retakes it. For the second it was an odd decision to give him the job but Yakubu was on the bench so he can't really be at fault :)

Such a bad performance, but for me t here are two reasons , i.e injuri es, and a bad perf ormence.

Lets not Knee Jerk, Moyes hasnt become abad manager and aj hasnt become a n\bad player. We are out of nothing yet.

I remen\mber the same negative knee jerk crap after the Spurs game at home last season and as i imagine like then all shouts for peoples heads will die a death like then.

It is entertainin g tho gh lads, i love this TW merger, all on the one site.

yes the ref turned down a perfectly good penalty , but how the hell can he be classed as against us as some you posters and moyes say ?

he sent 2 players off and gave us 2 penalties !!! the only thing that was missing was him scoring a goal for us.

also "it could have easily been 3-0 " well big wows ! it wasnt it was 1-1 , and we are left clinging onto the argument about 2 penalties.
the fact is we had 90 minutes to score a hatfull of goals in 'open play' against a (lets face it) very poor team ad we couldnt hit a barn door from 2 yards.relying on penalties to beat such a team is not acceptable.

the build up play was all wrong , the supply is all wrong , the link up play is all wrong , the centre of midfeild is pointless , the play in the final third is abysmal ,we have no width , no decent crosses , nobody controlling the game and putting there foot on the ball ,nobody getting to the byeline and cutting it back.

yes we can tackle , yes we can work hard , yes we can close down but the fact remains we cant play football.

that is down to the manager , his tactics , his coaching , his player selection and his insistance of playing what amounts to 2 scarecrows in midfeild(neville and carsley).

utter rubbish.

Last season we took 4 points from Arsenal and Liverpool, was that rubbish coaching? rubbish tactics? nope. We have been unlucky with injuries this season. But hey lets all get on that bandwagon to the end of the world.

But what do those games have to do with the tactics used last night? He has a point, we really wernt very good for large periods, and tactially things didnt seem to be going away yet we continued with it.

We had no creative midfielders available they were all injured, all 4 of them!!!!

FFS!!!!

We created chances last night, we just failed to score them. Is the fault of the tactics???

We failed to win last night because AJ can't score, simple as that.

I can't be bothered to quote all of the posts in here as there seems to be a glutton of bollocks. All I will say is that (hold the post) "I AM WITH GHOST ALL THE WAY ON THIS". Get off the back of moyes. People whine when he does right and whine when he does wrong. Moyes put the best he could on the pitch and they let him down. I know people have the right to their own opinions, I just wish there was a filter to get rid of the retarded ones. The players let down the club, themselves and the manager last night. If that is too hard for people to understand then I truly believe you are following the wrong sport. Moyes is recognised as one of the best managers around by people that know what they are talking about, but I guess some people will argue that they are wrong also. I know some are going to try to rip this post apart, well feel free, I have more important things to worry about, like being positive and supporting my Club. Not waiting on the sidelines for them to fail so I can shout "I told you so".

That's it, a very very rare rant has now reached completion.
