Just a question, who was the last person with no background in football whatsoever (professional footballer, parents/family involved somehow) to get a job in football as a top coach or manager? There's very little chance in all honesty, no matter what your knowledge and understanding of the game is. I know lots of lads who have done coaching courses and the best they can hope for is to become a P.E teacher or something around that level, maybe coaching a kids Sunday League team.
I don't think this means they are more knowledgable than you in this area, you only have to listen to alot of ex players analysing games, that tells you all you need to know.
