My money would be a simple he's staying news just goes on the website. A news conference is better news for us IMHO.

I wouldn't read anything into that, even though I'm starting to think VP is leaving. The President always goes on a tv interview by the end of the season, it's like the Queen's speech. Porto is a VERY secretive ball club and this is always a very anticipated event -it's prime time, on a major tv channel- where he makes the balance of the season, previews the next one, talks about the country and whatnot. In this one there's the added spice of the head coach situation still remaining unsolved.

Welcome to the forum mate, more information would be brilliant.

Pereira stuff suits both our clowns and Pereira himself: Kenwright and Elstone look proactive in seeking a big name; Pereira and his agent get a boost in negotiating a better deal with Porto if they can get them to swallow he'd leave for a big pay day elsewhere. Job done. Now the clowns can just wait for Martinez to either stay at Wigan or frig off to Malaga/Stoke/elsewhere and the *exhaustive* process will be at an end and they can trundle the best manager Falkirk never got: Davie'Waterboy'Weir as the continuity manager for the next stage of the *successful* Everton project. Nothing more certain. They treat Evertonians like imbeciles, and, to be fair, we do our best to live up to it.

It's not going to be Pereria is it, then Martinez will stay at Wigan, then the fume will really descend as we will be down to Weir, Stubbs or Neville
