Imagine Sven Goran Eriksson. Just imagine it.

Horrible.

Out of that list the only ones that wouldn't make me turn to supporting Tranmere Rovers are Martinez, Mourinho and Solksjaer.

Imagine him slipping Jenny a portion on the boardroom table while Bill's telling the tea lady all about the time his mate showed Elvis round town.

SVEN IN!

Not much love for Hiddink, but he turned a very ordinary Australian team of mostly journeymen into strong world cup performers.

Wigan have finished lower under Martinez than they did under Bruce, just saying

just before martinez was appointed

Wilson Palacios was sold
Emile Heskey was sold
Amr Zaki loan wasn't made permanent
Lee Cattermole was sold
Antonio Valencia was sold

then every season after a key player was sold
-charles n zogbia
-victor moses

and some key players to them left on frees
-titus bramble
-Hugo Rodallega
-Paul Scharner
-diame

so comparing the two different managers is a bit silly

It is simply not fair to compare Martinez and David Moyes using where each club finishes as a barometer.Just as we are paupers compared to Utd,City and Chelsea,Wigan are paupers compared to us.

If you use the expressions of shoestring budget,or sell to survive it is Wigan who are past masters at this.
Maroune Fellaini alone will have cost more than a large chunk of the Wigan squad and our squad is full of players in the five to six million category.Baines,Heitinga,Jagielka,Jelavic,Mirallas,Pienaar. fee fror Leroy Fer was agreed at around 8m and in the recent past we signed Yakubu for a reported 11m.

Martinez is the favourite at 5/4, looking at the list doesn't provoke the greatest confidence really:

Sam Allardyce 12/1
Ally McCoist 14/1

No Joe Kinnear!!!

Solskjaer miight be worth a sneaky score.

Right now I'd go for anyone with Everton running through them like a Joe Royle with a Ferguson/Sheedy combo.

Or Neil Lennon.

Ive shouted it out before mate, could do a hell of a lot worse then have big Joe as a director of football with a younger head - not sure id praticularly go for Dunc or Sheeds - doubt Sheeds would be up for it either.
