I would much rather have everyone figuratively working off a hardy over their preferred appointment than the others who sit there moping about the loss of Moyes and how difficult it is going to be to move on from here.
Ya, it's not wrong that we're in for a super challenge and it could all go balls up, but me, I'm up for a sexy adventure. Lets have us some excitement.

This is a million times

:) Maybe, just wish they would have started this as soon as Moyes decided on Man u, Moyes is already working for Man u and yet we're still deciding.

I was under the impression that Pereira's agent had gotten him a pre contract 2 months ago?
By Monday at the latest we should have our new manager.
I imagine (hope) they're just undergoing due process so as to be totally committed and ready for the new guy, whoever it is, to hit the ground running.

EVERY other business would do that. Do you KNOW what goes on in any boardroom in the country, in any business? Someone leaves, and sooner or later someone is employed in their place. The public/customers don't get a running commentary.

If this were a sensible business though, there would have been no interviews given to the internal candidates, they'd have been dismissed immediately as too weak. Moyes would have cleared his desk and would have been allowed no more than a passing comment on who might succeed him. Candiates would have been identified and approached prior to Moyes leaving, as they knew he was leaving (see the Man Utd approach to continuity).

Rubbish. Every business that has any semblance of people skills at it's heart, would allow internal applicants to apply for the top job if it became available & they chucked their hat in the ring. It serves 2 purposes, firstly they can't say they weren't given the opportunity to pitch for it & secondly, those interviewing can gauge how they might react if they don't get it & whether they might be potentially disruptive.

Man utd winning one nil at Goodison, moyes brings on Evans for kagawa to shore up the win..

pereira responds by changing to the 'hot lazer formation' and bringing on 3 Portuguese youths, who go on to bamboozle the utd defence with a series of stepovers, overhead kicks and moves yet to be invented..

5-1 everton, moyes cries, pereira laughs

Haha top stuff.

I'm expecting this to happen now.

Right, bring it on, it should be like a breath of fresh air ,I thought all though we were making progress under the departed one
(Not Moyes fed up of the name) things had become stale and needed shaking up a wee bit

No, depends on the abilities of the internal applicants, and ours don't have any. Every business that wants to succeed would act accordingly.

NO WAY unless you want them to resign which isn't the case, we want them to remain here but not as manager, but to continue what they are doing, so since they showed interest in the job, you interview them and take them seriously and show them all the respect and even tell them that they are good enough for the job, later when you hire someone else you tell them they were so close to the job but they were unlucky this time bla bla bla

I love this forum so much when it's on.

I wish it was always on.

We want Stubbs,Neville and Round to resign, surely ? Would be a tremendous result.

Exactly! When I was a bit younger I applied for a job at my work that was way out of my league but they interviewed me and gave me loads of good feedback afterwards. Was good for my morale and made me work harder for the next role.

That's your subjective opinion & evades the actual point I made anyway. Allowing them the opportunity of an interview doesn't mean that they're in serious contention for the job, in the eyes of those appointing.
