....not sure if already mentioned previously on these 983 pages, but I heard a 'rumour' this morning that Weir had been offered the job but turned it down because he felt he wasn't ready. Whilst this is hardly creditable, I do think Weir is the most likely of all the internal candidates. He gets really positive comments from wherever he's been and whoever he's worked with and we were particularly keen to get him back from Rangers. I don't want an internal appointment, but at 40-1 he wouldn't be the worst bet ever.

can peeps stop mentioning the betting odds, it literally means feck all. remember when stubbs' odds were cut down massively in the week, i don't see him as our coach. Same with klinsmann; hasn't even been discusssed from an everton POV

I didnt get him banned at all mate, he got himself banned by calling people bellends and ****. How were the quotes not supporting the argument, he wrote them, people were taking his word for it and getting mislead in the process.

Because taken completely out of context, it looks like it may support your arguement. if you actually twin the posts to the poster, its obvious he didnt ever intend to come across as itk, he was posting what he thought might happen, without posting the words "i think".

So he couldnt of put his argument across in a decent way but because he got angry and swore you defend that?

Mike has sometimes been a bit of an easy target for abuse on here ever since Bungle popcorned him into oblivion. Plenty of other lads spread rumours or pass info off as facts but Mike seems to get more criticism than others. Maybe that's because he posts fairly frequently but I think he's treated a bit unfairly at times.

It's not surprising that he eventually lost it.

...it was mentioned yesterday mate. 40-1 for the most obvious (in the sense he'd be Moyes choice) internal appointment is crazy odds. Let's hope it is bull**** but I have my doubts about that...unfortunately.

Saying somebody was looking at houses in Formby without a shred of evidence is enough to come across as posting 'facts', imo. People browsing this site don't connect the usernames of every poster, they will pick up stuff from here and then post it on other places.

It's the same reason why jarg transfer rumours aren't allowed, because people go to Twitter or Facebook and say 'Just seen that Paddy Kenny is joining us on a seven year deal on Grandoldteam'. It makes the forum look stupid.

I think Pereira's agents quotes are indicative of a man who wants to stay at Porto. He said he is glad they have gave him time to think and will talk more next week. No mention of EFC. If he is so set on leaving, why is he wanting to talk again next week? I would be stunned if he doesn't sign a new deal.

This is the main concern for me, leaving sunny portugal and uprooting his family. But AVB and Mourinho have both moved on before him so it cant be all sweetness and light at porto.

Should Kenwright appoint someone quick like ,or should he take his time over it and have more chance off
Getting it right,I would go for the latter,just an opinion like ,he will be wrong whatever he does

We HAVE to get it right but it's annoying hearing of Moyes starting work at united, cracking on with cutting sh!t staff and planning how to be great next season. All while we wonder if Bill has got past interviewing Stubbsy.
