Mcmannaman has had half a season of football and once figured out by opp defenders, I expect will be no where near as effective. Infact look how Gibbs completely took him out of the game. 1 trick pony at the mo! McCarthy yes seems to be above average tbf, however the fee would be big and not worth it IMO. He's not as good as Gibson!.... Well not much between them anyway....one was 500k the other prob around the 10M mark.

£10m for a relegated midfielder? Not sure where you've got that from mate. With Wigan being a selling club too they won't be able to hold anyone to ransom. Need to think bigger picture, having a good first 11 isn't good enough, injuries happen, players go out of form especially with no competition keeping them on their toes. Gibson being injury prone too means we could do with another deep passer of the ball.
