The Chilean coach of 59 years has announced his departure from Malaga and is wanted by Manchester City and FC Porto.

According to press reports, the FC Porto SAD has already submitted a proposal to Manuel Pellegrini, who considered the dragons design very attractive. spite of the almighty Manchester City also be in the race for the Chilean coach, that fact does not diminish the chances of Pellegrini head to Dragon . Yet according to the press, the leaders blue-and-whites have already met with the coach on last Tuesday.

Press reports = A Bola reports. It's a newspaper that hates us. They just want to be able to say that our next coach, Pereira or his replacement, was a second choice.

Amicable talks with existing manager while courting another man for the job... how City-like. Anyway we need an insider with a big mouth - where's fat man Ross when you actually want him to blabb who Kenwright has been courting in the aisles of Walmart 24-7?

I actually think Vitors our first choice, and we're waiting to see what he is doing before we move for Martinez. Hence all the delays.

Hope your right. I want Pereira and would like us to take the risk on him, but for me, Martinez wouldnt be such a bad second choice!.

I am quite terrified at this tbh. I'm dying for Pereira to get the job but i just know for a fact its going to end up being Martinez. It doesn't take a genius to see which one is better when looking at their records.

Also i really cant be arsed to look back through the pages, isn't Pereira meant to make an announcement early this week on his future and Martinez around that time too?

Pereira is to make an announcement about his future this week coming, some say even as early as tomorrow, but we'll see.

Martinez is having another meeting with Whelan on Tuesday where it will be clear what he's going to do?!.

Vitor Pereira expected to leave porto tomorrow fact as new manager already decided

I think Pereira is definitely leaving Porto cos there chairman/president is already talking about possible replacements, even mentioned Pellegrini for the job!.

Really hope Pereira is our next manager, ticks all the right boxes for me,though I won't be too disappointed if it's Martinez.

This!.

With Pereira, foreign managers usually have coaches on the staff, either from that country or with a link to the club, and it would make sense as to why weve interviewed the likes of Stubbs, Weir & Neville with regards to new roles within the new management set up.

Im hoping thats whats gonna happen anyway.
