Is this a fake account then, cos this is where i saw it - https://twitter.com/FCPortoWorld

Yeps, fake.

Welcome Portista.

As you can see several members have passion for your manager, quickly forgetting the painful nature of our current board, I doubt very much your talented manager would want to leave you dry successful and rich club to manage Everton.

What are your thoughts?

Our club isn't as rich as you seem to believe. Our normal revenues (tickets+tv revenue+sponsors+etc excluding players transfers) are probably a third or half of yours.

I'm not sure if PdC wants to keep Pereira (it can be a smokescreen); if he does, I think there's a good chance Pereira might prefer to move on, get a bigger contract (how much do you reckon Everton would be willing to pay their manager? After taxes earnings?), moving to a solid club in the best and most popular league, instead of risking his reputation with another year here, dealing with a fanbase where half of the supporters dislike him (not me, I'd be happy if he stays). He's proven himself here, he might think it's time to take a new challenge and a top-half club in the Premier is certainly attractive.

Did you enjoy the cup final?

Very much, their tears taste deliciously. What a fantastic end of the season, after weeks of listening to those buffoons claiming they'd win a treble. I'm not even into schadenfreude, but I open an exception for Benfica. In the 3 decisive matches, 3 losses, all by 2-1, two with goals in extra-time. Not even in my wildest dreams.

Are we still expecting some news about this tomorrow? Wasn't Monday mentioned by someone last week? Or is it likely to rumble on into June?

You just pocketed about 60m Euro from them sales though?

Interesting, i doubt any manager that comes in will be on less than their former club given our decent league finish, we will be hiring from below or from abroad, my gut instinct tells me it will be internal, the only reason Phil Neville will have played for so long and thought so highly of is my reasoning.

Not sure why so many of our fans rate your guy so highly? he has a good record for 2 seasons i give you that.

Not everybody understands football Bry, I mean I guess you can iron better than most.

It's all about his looks mate. Which is fair enough, if Don Draper wanted the job, I'd give it to him.

I was surprised they lost the final. I think the the manner of the loss to your boys and then to Chelsea must have broken their morale completely

To be fair mate, you openly admit that you don't follow anyone except Everton which is fine.

It only takes a little bit of research to discover that he's a promising manager. Although there is a risk I do admit. But there is with anyone.

Yeah, and last year we pocketed 50 million from Hulk alone, the year before 45 million from Falcao and Micael plus 15 million from AVB's transfer and so on. But most of that money will go into salaries and the stadium payments, we don't make much money from ordinary revenue sources, it's a small and poor country. You can get a season ticket, including champions league football, for 100 euros or less.

Phil Neville has always sounded like coaching material as a player, but rookies are always risky. If he was your board first choice, why would they be taking so long to announce him?

Vitor Pereira is a good coach, in my view. He didn't only win, but did in a dominant fashion, players like him and I like the possession playing style. That's why I'd rather keep him than betting on some unknown. But whatever Pinto da Costa decides is fine with me. As for your fans, I don't know, but if the alternative is Martinez, I'd surely be hoping for VP too. No idea how he'll adapt to a different club and league, but he knows his craft.
