Alan Nixon doing cryptic tweets that a foreigner is being interviewed today that had played in England and we'd be "partying in the streets" if it was 2011 and we were interviewing this guy. Someone took those hints as it could be Rangnick as he played for a none league team while at uni here, so it could well be him

Sounds like Bilic which is a horrendous shout.

But it's the Mirror. So it's probably tosh.

Do we think that maybe, deep in the caves of Kenwrights mind, he's thinking to himself................

Vitor is a good manager, but we risk losing him to another team within three years as he has the possibility of becoming a top, top manager. However, Martinez will realistically never manage a bugger team than us, so we can keep him for as long as WE want to?

Could that be a possible thought process?

It could well be. But I presume Swansea thought the same thing when they hired Laudrup - the obvious solution is to insert a compensation clause in the contract so that IF your manager leaves when you want him to stay, you pick up a couple mil for him.

If anything it's another reason to chose Pereira OVER Martinez.

I don't believe a word of Alan Nixon. He just wants us to crumble the kopite. Mirror = loads of bull.

I've got a feeling (based on absolutely nothing) that our new manager will be announced tomorrow....

...and we'll all be very, VERY surprised.

That's all I'm saying.

Id have Bilic over Martinez anyday. Come home Slaven

...I posted early Tuesday morning that there'd been 'twitter' reports coming out of Russia on Monday evening strongly linking Bilic with the Blues. The indication was that he had been interviewed and Everton were enquiring about the amount of compensation required. I don't want Bilic, but I had a few quid on @ 40s. I wonder if there's a twist in the tale with this whole Martinez scenario.

Maybe....but he's possibly also thinking, in the above scenario, that Vitor will net Everton a hefty fee in compensation....
