Whelan never mentions his broken leg unless he's asked, and then only briefly. Its completely made up that he mentions it at all. Its hardly clever to just make something up like this and then continually refer to the untruth. I could invent something about you, or anyone, and continually refer to it,and you'd soon get fed up with it!!

Think about it, all these rumours about whether he can speak English. Would be daft to interview a manager who cant speak the language the entire team speaks. Saying that, that Pochettino at Southampton uses a interpreter. Cant see Bill going with something similar. So its safe to say, VP speaks English.

I think it was the constant references to it in the media leading up to the FA Cup final that made most people aware of it.

And you're dead right, Whelan can't be blamed for that. It's the papers and TV who made such a deal of it.
