Laudrup would cost us though, big compo for him

McNulty is hinting get at Hughes which is my personal nightmare scenario.

Hughes played for Everton between 2000 and 2002.

"It's not happened yet but it's obvious if one manager leaves there is an opportunity for other managers who are currently out of work, which includes myself," he told Sky Sports News. "It (Everton) is a great club, a club I had the fortune to play for and I really enjoyed my time there.

"Whoever gets that opportunity it is a really big club and really big shoes to fill.

"It's an opportunity for somebody and I back myself for most jobs in the Premier League.

"It's a big job, there's only 20 jobs available and everybody wants to work in the Premier League."

Weren't saying that when you thought you were bigger than us a few years ago

Okay, I'm absolutely not ITK, but an old university friend of mine who works as a sports consultant in Barcelona just got off the phone. He said Bayram Tutumlu, Michael Laudrup's agent and someone he works with fairly regularly, had a discussion first thing this morning with a rep for an English club. Just a sounding out sort of thing. He seems to think they're happy to let this leak as Laudrup might be second choice after Ancelotti for the Real job, and some outside interest might catch the latter's attention. However, he also said that 1) it was almost certainly on behalf of Everton, and 2) Tutumlu doesn't think Laudrup wants to stay at Swansea, regardless of Madrid.

So, hardly even a rumour but interesting nonetheless.

Hughes would be nowhere near my list and I think surely not anyone's but I do know when moyes was prevaricating a few years ago and Hughes was at city when they were potless and built on sand he was certainly on BK's short list however surely his career had only gone one way since ?

Mark Hughes on chase for Lescott - August 2009:

"We feel we are doing things the right way and through the proper channels," explained Hughes. "I'm not surprised David feels a bit aggrieved with the situation, you always are when a big club is trying to sign one of your best players."

Hi Mark, do one, cheers.

This is what I'm talking about

I want a Euro manager who wears Brut for men, a pair of glasses and winklepickers. It guarantees success

Exactly. Euro swoonster manager IN

* this does not include Rafaaa

You win my game of Guess Who

Quite like the idea of Pereira - or Laudrup

Martinez constantly in the relegation zone, Lennon's a muppet, Bilic unproven at club level (10th at the moment in Russia) and Di Matteo / Mackay rightfully not really in the running.

you heard of anyone else we might be showing a fair bit of interest in Sheeds?

Ok guys, don't quote me on this but a guy we do a lot of work for recently had a builder in to fix his roof, the builder has been on the phone to our client this morning and has apparently mentioned that he was fixing a roof in the Wigan area yesterday and overheard a conversation between what seems to be Martinez and his agent. Whilst he didn't go into detail he did say that Wigan are fu*ked.
