can we start a marco van basten thread/campaign?

Yes please!!! Said last year before he took over at Heerenveen that I'd like him to take over from Moyes when he leaves.

Though anyone Dutch I wouldn't mind, but van Basten is on my list. (y)

Christ almighty is Bill Kenwright a PR machine, he is already starting to turn this whole affair to his advantage. I am stunned by that interview

Would be great. Think it won't happen though.

Very risky hiring a manager who never worked in this league tho.

Experience at a top club, European experience and he won a league and is two points of first now. He plays decent football. I'd rather him than pretty much every name that is being thrown around now and he can bring Moutinho, Martinez and Rodriguez if he's feeling nice.

Mark Hughes: "I'm interested in the EFC job"

Kenwright

'We havent got anybody in mind to replace Moyes'

F***ING HELL.

I think I made the point (along with others) in the Moyes contract thread that we should have been preparing for if Moyes left at the end of the season by drawing up a list of candidates. Surprising how the board apparently didn't seem to think that it might be necessary to do that.

...interesting the different odds on offer at the moment. Martinez is clear, short priced favourite. Steve Clarke is only 6-1 with Ladbrokes, yet 25s elsewhere. Big Duncan is as low as 8-1 in a place.
I would hope that the Board saw this coming a while ago and have drawn up a short list.
