If Moyes had as much cash to spend at Everton as FSW Benitez had at LFC, I'm almost certain we would've been champions at least once. Don't want him anywhere near Everton Football Club. Prefer Martinez, Stubbs or Weir over him tbh. Without endless amounts of money he'll be useless as far as progression goes.

Stubbs and Weir? I think your getting too emotional.

With Moyes I guess we will see next season!

I said the likelihood of him taking over was zero, and there's your reason! I am certain he would win trophies within 2 seasons! The rest of the candidates I would say no! My opinion is said and done!

im with you here mate, but you'll never win. some of our fans would rather have dunc than a proven winner

"Chelsea is a big club with fantastic players, every manager wants to coach a such a big team. But I would never take that job, in respect for my former team at Liverpool, no matter what. For me there is only one club in England, and that's Liverpool."

""When you play against the smaller teams at Anfield you know the game will be narrow” and “One team wanted to win and one didn't want to lose."

No, I think it's the money they were spending. If you analyse the transfer record and the history... Rooney, or Ferdinand, for example... £30 million for a young player or a centre back. Every year they [United] are very well-off. It's not just because of the interviews or the press conferences; it's because they had money."

Some facts for Rafael:
During his 6 seasons at Liverpool as manager, he spent a whooping £248 million. For player sales, Liverpool made £150 million during that spell. Manchester United meanwhile spent £184 million and made back £162 million. Liverpool's gross spend was £76 million more than Manchester United whilst Benitez was in charge! The difference in outcome: Manchester United won 3 Premier League titles, 1 Champions League, 1 League Cup and 1 FIFA World Club Cup. Liverpool won 1 Champions League, 1 FA Cup and 1 European Super Cup. I think it may have had something more than just money Rafael..

It's time to show ambition to the watching world of media, current players, present players, soon to be future players, soon to be ex players. How would the current players feel when Stubbs or Benitez take over as an example. I know who I would rather work with!

Agree re internal and our need to make statement with this appointment. There are far more palatable alternatives to fsw tho ffs. In any case bill will have non of the disruptive forward-thinking types anyhow so is probably immaterial imo

Benitez not sounding too enthusiastic for Everton anyway:

"I have a lot of respect for Everton. They have done a great job in the last year, and you have to give credit to them. Still, I think it would be quite difficult for them to approach me and maybe even for me to go there.

England is my priority because my family is here, but there are not too many top sides so there could be two different options. It could be a project where you could build something for the future or it could be a top side where you could compete straight away for trophies, so we will see.

I just have to wait for offers. I have my job, my agent has his job and it's time now to relax at the end of the season and see what happens."

we will soon see what we had including our disgusting board.... you dont know what youve got till its gone
moyes was the man thanx mate for making me feel proud about my club

This!.

Nobody is bigger than the club but he did great things for us and gave us some great memories.

I thought i'd be fine with Moyesy going but now he as and as time goes by with who we get linked with and all that, i do realise he's going to be a very hard act to follow!.

Don't let him fool you;he wants it badly. It's the highest profile PL job he (thinks he) has a chance at getting.

His last 3 clubs have been Champions League winners. His own trophy haul as manager is even stronger than what Kendall achieved for us in the 80's.

I seriously doubt we're the highest-profile job he is able to get.

Both of his last two jobs amounted to less than 12 months consecutively too.
