Moyes sacked by United

I started to feel sorry for him during the game on Sunday but then he came out with that delusional cr@p after the game about how they were the better team! That's when I knew he'll never change. Poetic justice that we hammered the final nail into his coffin.

No surprise there.

Rumour has it the news was delivered to Round via his bluetooth headset.

To be honest, we knew his limitations but I thought he'd change going to a club with better resources.

It didn't happen.

Took his own ego with him but didn't have the pedigree to be respected to pull it off.

I think villa would be a perfect fit for moyes actually.
Aye, and to be honest that's not meant from me in a negative way. Villa are a massive club, a sleeping giant like we were when he took us over (arguably still are). He'd be able to go there and sort them out and get them to challenge in the top half in no time. Probably, anyway.

Aston Villa deserves better

About time someone took that club by the scruff of the neck and restored it to it's once former glories, as Martinez may be capable of doing for us

Mourinho or Wenger say it, they have clout and defend their players.

Moyes did have that so came across as someone desperate.

Their supposedly getting a billionaire take over if they stay up , I'd be surprised if they were for moyes

I think that had he been given the summer window, he would have brought in a few players and taken United back into the top 4. However he wouldn't have won anything, simply because he reached his limits as a manager. Too tactically naive, and when you combine it with the players not giving 100% and an aging squad, as well as the legacy he was following from Fergie, you can understand some of why it didnt work out for him. He'll probably pick up a job at the likes of Leeds or Wigan, or even perhaps a newly promoted side and either take them up or keep them up in the Prem, restoring a bit of his managerial mojo. Some of their fans are right deluded though, what were they expecting of the man who was replacing the legend that was Ferguson?

Obviously Toffee fans would have deeper insight into Moyes as a hire but from an outsider's perspective, David never looked adequate enough for a mid level club nevermind a big club like United...It was an utter failure on SAF's part, IMHO
