What's wrong with being a little low brow once in a while? Life would be terribly dull if we all spent it discussing Fellini.its the sort of thing only top gear fans would find funny, low brow nonsense

I don't know what sort of ambition a BBC comedy programme is supposed to have tbh. It's been enormously successful, which I expect is what it aimed to be and sometimes people just like simple, easy and quite amusing things to watch. It's just a little too easy for me, lazy obvious humour, written with littlew ambition other than to pander to easy targets, a bit like a chico preview

I'm not saying its good because its popular, but it just is what it is. Unapologetically so in fact. It fills a gap, keeps people happy, keeps churning out laughs and DVD sales.
