A full takeover with new ownership who want to grow the club on and off the pitch, is the best solution (and the only thing that will actually work imo).

The current leadership have done nothing to try and improve the performances on the pitch so this current position is not sustainable.

I don't really see this minority investment changing anything at all. In fact, it might not help with getting the actual meaningful change we need.

I agree, but it’s either whatever this is, or literally nothing, which also means no change but means we can’t afford to finish the stadium also.

Esk said there may be movement this week and he wasn't talking about his bowels

Mr flip flop. Wrong plenty of times before he's ever right.

Our dozy owner needs to get the maximum return on the money he's squandered through trusting the 'revered' board and his own desire to get involved in football. The only way the club has a decent sell on value is getting the stadium done.

He could probably find it himself but he's already balls deep and reducing his risk isn't a bad strategy.

Agreed.

This is where I disagree. Pretty sure MSP will select suitable people for various positions, both on the board and in other senior management roles at Everton. One thing Americans are good at is squeezing all the juice out of the fruit. We'll see steady commercial growth, I'm sure if it.

People are worried its another US cash grab, like the Glazers. It's completely different. They (The glazers) have basically decided UTD is a cash machine and they make a withdrawal every year. Our cash machine is out of service and the only way the get it working is to improve the whole club, commercially, operationally and on the pitch.

I don't have any issue with American investment, I'm not getting at that.

My issue is just with minority investment in general. If we have Moshiri controlling the club, but with a sizeable amount of the club also held by another investor, it could make it more difficult for the club to be bought in future by an investor wanting to acquire the club. It might not turn out to be a problem at all, but I can see it as a possibility.

My opinion is that until we have new ownership and a new chairman, then nothing will improve on the field.

I honestly think he'll be only too happy to take his hands off the wheel if a new board with MSP involvement shows a degree of competence.

We need @BeardedScotsman back involved to shed some light on what plans they have longer term.

We need movement on this asap. It's extremely unhelpful during the transfer window to have such uncertainty.

If it's a minority investment with no planned transition to a takeover, then I don't support this. Minority investment will not change anything unless it's just a first step to something far more meaningful.
Can you imagine the work required for due diligence on Everton!

Why?
Any funds are apparently for the stadium build.
It's not gonna affect the team in anyway.
It's well reported its a loan, with shares as the repayment. When they complete, makes not a jot of difference to anything squad wise.
