Sorry I mean we will rent it.

I knew what you meant mate 👍

My answer was based on that, works the same. Why would Everton potentially rent and pay millions of pounds per season to rent a stadium and in doing so we are handing over money to cover the owners loan + interest + operating costs + profit which would of course be more than what we were intending to pay) if the return is also limited by the stadium owner taking most of the benefits of moving (profits from any concerts - naming rights and so on). It wouldn't make Everton worth more unless the buyer can do a deal to takeover the stadium at the same time.

In that case it would make far more sense to stay at Goodison where we have nothing to pay out. Or by saying that to them it would force the stadium company to lower their demands and in which case it doesn't make good business sense for them where you can be bent over a barrel to that extent.

A leveraged buy out will not be possible.

An oil state one would be. Or a takeover where they bought the shares of FM (which may not be oil states).

Debt related takeovers like MSP wont work.
I agree . If anything this development makes it more likely that there will be a complete takeover of Everton. Moshiri will not be in a position to charge a premium upon his shareholding or even recover full value ( whatever that is now ) or what he has invested.
I agree with you that a leveraged buy out won't work. Everton with a soon to be new stadium could be acquired relatively cheaply and represent a decent investment opportunity.
I think that the Oil states may be interested.

The major problem in the short term is that there will be no money spent on new signings and we may even see more sales without reinvestment in players to plug any funding gap on the stadium.

Very turbulent times ahead.

Who we supporting when we go bust? I'm practicing now by calling people "ar kid" and getting a cagoule
I know you are joking, but nobody, it will just be a relief to watch the sport of football, watching as it eats itself with greed and it no longer having its death hold on my emotions.

Without Everton, football would bring me nothing but joy.
