Besic is the reason I will buying an everton shirt this year. Only Cahill and Mirallas have persuaded me before. This fella is gonna be the new Duncan Ferguson.

As a Ferencvaros fan, I have to tell you lot that despite all those cards, he is not a dirty player at all. He plays hard and welcomes challenges and that here translates to cards. Playing dirty doesn't.

He is not hot headed, just a fighter.

That's great to hear. He is the right kind of player then. As much fun as it is to joke about breaking legs in the derby and stuff, I seriously would hate having a dangerous player like Nigel De Jong on the team. Aggressive yes, psychotic monster no thanks.

I didn't see much of him bar about half an hour at the WC. The only opinion I formed was that he looks like an absolute war criminal, and plays like one.

He's not at all dangerous, like De Jong or that Bayern player whose name I cannot remember. He's more of a Vidic but with a better football brain. (Vidic btw was turned down as a trialist at Ferencvaros when he was playing for Red Star)

So am I wrong in thinking Besic and McCarthy are like for like and Gibson and Barry are like for like? We defo need depth back there. You can't expect Barry and McCarthy to play that many games without injury or suspension. And although some think Barkley could play the deep lying midfielder, I want his arse going forward as close to goal as possible.

that's how i see it. all of it. i'd rather barkley play CM thn anyone else should we have 3 of those 4 injured though. really think martinez would go for him over osman.
