He'll probably get a given a good amount of time this pre-season to prove himself and that's only fair considering how much time Koeman gave to the likes of Cleverley, Oviedo, Deulofeu (and probably McCarthy next) before dumping them. I still like him and definitely think there's a place for him in the squad if he can just stay fit. This is a make or break period for him now, he HAS to seize it.

I know it gets harped on about a lot but in that game against City in the league cup semi he was just utterly world class, the best performance I've seen from an Everton player in a big game for many years. We're all still clinging to the hope that that player is still in there. Let's hope we see enough of him in the next few months to find out.

I think Roberto Martinez's 'lax' fitness regimen didn't help any of our players in terms of injuries. Hopefully he starts out in top shape and those hammies of his can stay put.

Besic will be involve in at least 30 games next season no doubt. High intensity and hard pressing is what koeman wants. His creativity and technical skill is way better than mcarthy/barry. I expect sneiderlin to start every game when fit while besic, Gana and Davies to rotate regularly.

probably already been said, but as he was a centre half to begin with, I think he could do a job as part of a 3 at the back, like mikey said there, sweeper type role

Get some more tactical and positional discipline in him and he could be quite a player. Hopefully that's what they've been working on during his injury layoff.
