To all of you thinking he is bad. Right now you are right but the thing is that the management has made him into a case of catch 22... He needs playtime yet he does not get it. They need more rotation on cb and cm positions, and besic is free but he has not played much so he is not ready.

Unlike a real catch 22 this problem is easy to solve and could have been implemented on not only Besic but Sandro as well. Give the guy a run in the u23 and dont just make him play one game in 1 month instead give him a run for 2 months. If Koeman or Unsworth(for that matter since he was in charge of u23) would have done this in the beginning then any doubts about Besic would have been gone. The same goes for Sandro but no....

Instead the management will just dig Evertons grave bigger and people are still liking Unsworth? He is just as bad as Koeman this season. He is not doing anything right. His man management is nonexistent.

Niasse was [Poor language removed] as well but look at him now. He is still not great but he plays with confidence. That is the difference between a Besic and Sandro compared to Niasse. Besic just needs more playtime to regain his confidence. Right now whenever Besic plays he tries to do too much since he wants to get back but sicne he is overdoing things he just makes the managers doubt on him even more.

Is football managing really this hard? I helped to coach 16 year olds in Sweden last year and had not this big of a problem, to include every player and play to their strengths yet this professional side is unable to do so. And I dont even consider myself to be more knowledgeable about football im just a fan... I just dont get it...

Was a fan of him when he first came as when he did play he looked decent.

However I think injuries have hampered him and he’s never had a settled run in the team.

The time he has played recently he hasn’t really done enough which is a shame.

Looking at this past week the future for me is Rooney playing the role he did against West Ham and us having legs around him to do the running and chasing down, so 2 of Gueye, Davies, Besic and McCarthy. I suppose Baningime can be in that mix too.

In his top form he walks into midfield ahead of Gueye or Schneiderlin. Because he didn’t cost as much as them though managers don’t want to give him the opportunity. He’s shown a higher level in the past than any of our holding mids.

Get him out on loan for 6 months and get him playing week in week out. Injuries have ruined him for us, he has 3 good games, starts to look like a player we need then is out for a few months.
