My son was on Question Time tonight

Apparently those in the audience wanting to ask questions have to submit two beforehand, and a further question when they enter the building. Then the audience is told whose questions will be accepted. His main question was to be on the Budapest Memorandum, and was it now 100% dead. A thorny subject at the present time. His question was not selected for the programme, so he had to just sit it out.

I think the BBC use this format to screen out verbosity.

Lot's of Q+A's I watch on Utube are basically people in the audience delivering a 3 minute speech, rather than asking a simple question of the speaker or panel.

We sat right behind Sue Barker but just before it started the producer asked us to move because my son & his pal had Everton shirts on. Mrs Eggs & my daughter stayed put, clearly seen on telly whilst I had to get out of shot with the boys.
