Player Valuation: £50m
i will address the physical view later, what i saw of the team today was of much more concern that multi-obstructed-views.

there are 19 managers in this league that know hibbert cant pass forwards, and there are 19 managers in this league that know neville (who should have been booked today) struggles to pass and move himself forward in midfield - better showing at RB but still prone to the dreaded 'hoof'.

managers know to double up on other players and allow these two space so that players under pressure will eventually play the ball to them, and from there its as good as theirs (the oppositions) anyway.

chris samba is 6'5" tall, let that sink in, he is, i believe the second tallest defender in the league after zat knight.

hibbert, yobo and neville were all guilty today of the dreaded 'hoof' where by the long ball from defence was played up to 5 foor something johnson who didnt have a hope in hell.

70 [Poor language removed] minutes we had this [Poor language removed], we gifted possession away time after time after time.

when vic came on and could outstrength samba we started cooking, we got the second ball, we gained territory.

cars and stubbs were off their games today.

jagielka was fantastic, a real performance in every position, he looked to play football and get the ball on the deck, he did well dictating the game to savage and dunn.

really impressed with jags - more of the same please sir.

baines was fantastic, really solid leftback, so good in fact the team were surprised, again and again he was left unmarked on the left flank with acres to play into, but time after time he was overlooked or missed and on the few occasions the ball got to him - it took an age and the break possibility had been nullified.

someone confident at the back could have pressurised burn all day by pinging the ball cross field for baines.

really impressed with him, solid performance, defended very well, showed good feet and touch + a willingness to get at and take players on. crosses could have been better but it was his debut, so he needs time and a few games.

howard was solid.

hibbert poor going forward, no confidence and always looked for the backpass - solid defence

yobo - great defending, had to make some telling tackles, when playing the ball forward hoofed it and lost it like hibbert did.

stubbs - not himself today, uncharacteristic hessitancy

lescott solid and composed, cool and calm.

mcfadden isnt fit, he was dead on his feet. took the goal well, tried hard but gave possession away too often and fell over a lot.

neville - guilty of bad distribution, showed some fire and guts but not enough end product

baines - see above

jags - see above

arteta - not his usual good self, only flashes of brilliant play - he was stunning against spurs - i hope we arent seeing a trend for the 'big games'

cars - well off the pace

osman - some nice touches, and tried hard, but burn are a big side and they closed down every bit of space, good passing but easily bullied.

jags - see above

johnson - clearly struggling with injury, real trooper for seeing the game through, but was clearly suffering.

vic - changed everything, blackburn couldnt handle his strength and power, he pressurised like no one else had and that got burn worried, good cameo.

moyes - changed it eventually, got us a point, in the final 10 i thought we would do it, but the ball didnt run for us much today. If he is anything like me he cant wait to see jags and cahill in midfield together - its gonna be brutal.

MotM ???? baines or jags - im gonna say jagielka.

i think thats how most of us saw it mate(y)

with baines and jags and hopefully manny and the yak will give us a differant dimension.

we could look a whloe new side next week.

I saw the game to Suits and apart from your obvious bias towards mediocrity in one player, I agree with everything you said.

I don't think that Anichebe changed the game, although it could just as well been attributed to moving Neville out of Jags way and give him control of the midfield.

The goal was scored from Arteta and Faddy, nothing to do with Anichebe, and although he tries his best and sticks the boot in, he lacks the technical skills. I'm sorry but that is a fact. I watched the game on tv and I noticed that he may win the ball with his power, but he can't keep hold of it comfortably or bring in anyone else in to play.

Saying that, he is good enough for his role and that is as a sub. When we sign Yakubu, Vic is going to be 5th choice striker, so I for one are not going to put much stock in him. I don't think I am being harsh, I just don't think he is as good as you say he is.

But Hibbert, now he is gash, can't pass, can't head to a player, has no vision. We need a right back like Baines, and [Poor language removed] quick. Unfortunately time is running out.

Andy Johnson, 15 games now.

Anybody catch that beautiful bit of control from Baines, as he plucked the ball out of the air, as he flew through the air with his outstretched foot, controlled it with his chest, and then attempted a cross, but, Emerton (I think) managed to get his foot in and block it.

Hopefully Fernandes will help take the pressure off of Arteta because at the moment if he doesn't play (as in the last two games), then we don't play. Teams will soon suss that out.

concern that multi-obstructed-views.

I disagree on that note, Hibbert has not been defensively sound all season, and I understand that he is a dedicated Everton player so I think a few games in reserves to bring back form and confidence and he should be back on top form like previously.

Can't agree with Hibbert being solid in the defence... he placed MGP onside so Blackburn could score, simply because he didn't have control on where the rest of the defensive line where.

hibbos preformace was summed up when in the first 10 mins of the game today he got the ball in his own area with no one any were near him and he belted the ball out of play, when he could have easily controlled it and played his way out.

gotta sort it out, it hurts to say cuz he is a blue but he is defo the weaklink.

Not only did he play him onside, but as the ball was played, he tried to play him offside and left him completely open, then made no reaction or movement to prevent the rebound from going into an opposition player.

I thought Baines was brilliant all round and same with Jagielka. I'd like to see Jags start next game instead of Carsley.

vic challenged and held the ball up top better than anyone today, cant overlook this fact when analysing how the game changed in the final 20.

aj won one header against samba all game, i think victor only missed 2 or 3 in his 20 minutes.

strength, build, and weight count.

burn scored when stubbs was on the field, again alan looked out of sorts and again hibbert was pressured into covering at CB instead of being able to stay at RB.

hibberts distribution was none existant, nevilles only marginally better. As for mcfadden, im glad he scored, because after some of his decisions and play i thought he was on for a lynching such was the dissent from every stand.

jagielka was a breathe of fresh air today, a few times instead of head tennis he brought the ball down and played it on the deck, baines will settle right in when the side realise he is dependable and quick.

glad of the point today, it wasnt looking bright for large stretches.
