Not only did he play him onside, but as the ball was played, he tried to play him offside and left him completely open, then made no reaction or movement to prevent the rebound from going into an opposition player.

I thought Baines was brilliant all round and same with Jagielka. I'd like to see Jags start next game instead of Carsley.

Vey good chance he will, both stubbs and carsley picked up groin injuries.

I was really impressed withJags today he made a great difference when he came on and beganto control the play really surprised by his quality.

Very impressed by bains, o knew he was skillfull had good distribution and was good going forward but he defended well also and was there twice clearing the ball of the line

Hibbert for me is the weak link an average defender prone to giving away a dangerous free kick, he simply cnant distribute the ball and has very little crative intelgence to even play the simplist of balls. For me thogh he dosent link as well with Arteta as he should whichis criminal im begining to wince now when he gets the ball like i used ot with pistone. Infairness he has been give n thebenifit of the douubht for a long time as he has been a young player and we hoped that with coaching his deficicies in his game mignht improve, but at this stage otys lear they are not. A good squad player but neville should be right full.

I start to think Hibbert is the victim of the squadimprovement. When he got into the squad he was one of the best players.. he was young and gave it all, so he became a loved one. But the players he played with in the defence have moved on now.. with the exception of the eternally young Stubbs. And in comparison to Baines, Yobo, Lescott, Jags.. he just isn't quite up to par with them. He has gone from being top of the class to the bottom.. and he need to step up before he is left behind.

He's not a youngster anymore.. so he can't continue to be allowed to make these mistakes he does and get away with them. He has, in my eyes, gotten the stick unfairly in some games, but in this he was clearly at fault for the goal.. and that goal changed the way the game was played. Up until then we had the ball mostly and they had some counterattacks. But after that Blackburn got confidence and controled most of the game.

Unfortunately... hibbert need to improve to be of use to the squad in games against tougher opponents. As it looks right now I'd use him in cupgames against lowerdivision teams or as a backup.. and either place Jags or Neville at the RB position.

Well this is Everton's problem. They have to score quick goals, no patience. How many times did Everton control the ball for a sustained amount of time before it got booted down the line for AJ to chase.

You watch Howard collect the ball and instantly look for a quick throw, but when he does the first thing the player does when he collects it is launch straight back at them.

We need to slow things down, be patient, control the ball, let the other team chase rather then the other team just waiting for the ball to come to them.

I think its a huge problem and it needs to be addressed asap.
