Everything I’ve read up on the lad says he’s highly rated, I’ve seen vague bits when he’s played for both Rangers and Scotland and he looks a tidy player

Let me ask you this, if he played for say, Celtic, Hearts, Hibs or Aberdeen, would you still be negative about it?
 
Regardless of if he is good or not, is he ready? It's a big step up playing a handful of games in the SPL and starting games in the Premier League.

We need someone able to play now and are not really in a position to break him in.
 

I've got no problem signing younger players.


That's if the club had a pedigree of improving the young players it already had.

Yes.

People trying to imply he's in the Tierney / Roberston class are kidding themselves.

Hes a sub and Everton just paid decent cash for him. That is the strength of the matter.

I just wish that cash had been spent on an experienced proper RB who can defend.

Good question, but he's 20 in he? Players at that age should be ready regardless of what league they come from.

I genuinely think he's been signed to go straight into the first team
