It was an excellent lifted pass that caught everyone standing not just him, he played well and looked like he cared as well.
Excellent lifted pass?

It was a hopefull lob into the box and Patterson would have dealt with it easily if he hadn't vacated the exact spot it landed on.

I dont care if he cares. I want him to be a decent defender.

Nah you're not be was one of our best players today.
He's a defender. Were you pleased with his defensive work today?

If we go in at HT 1-0 up we win that game.

Did the same against Forest: fell asleep at the back post (walking away from the play).

And his ill-dsicipline in keeping shape cost us against Chelsea and Leeds.

This lad had a decent game against Liverpool but that is just about it.

Obviously trying to play offside and get in line with his defenders.
...after the ball was delivered. That's not very clever is it?

Look, he's not single handedly to blame for all our ills, but you and others who think - against all evidence to the contrary - that lad is a defender are well wide of the mark. He's terrible at defending.

Zonal marking was mainly at blame for the goal today that Patterson is being blamed for. Yeah, he could've done better, but he was taking up a position he's been "coached" to take up. It's an awful defensive set up unless you have top defenders. Rarely works with mediocrity.

Jesus wept.

We were defending a corner previously as I remember and I think he was defending the near post. That's why he was late getting out. You will always find someone or something to whine about , it's in you're nature.

I say what I see mate.

Blindly telling us that Patterson is a competent defender is barking mad.
