To me the issue is they absolutely cannot handle any injuries. Hardaway missed and you've got Facu going 15 mostly useless minutes. But if somehow the top 9 are all there for 65+ gamed they'll be fine.

All of that and what I read is a lot of maybe's and could be's - 'once they get going', 'if they can last 65 games' etc.

Luka sits out and we're ROUGH. With how much we rely on him wear and tear will probably set in and we'll lose a few crucial games vs. not so great teams (or the regular trouncing from the Knicks) to drop off.

And honestly teams do target Kleber and our other C is, somehow, still Powell. Both are more often than not not having a great time out there.

And, still, DFS and Kleber are there as 3&D, but are hot/cold on both, which is an issue if we keep setting up this way.

That said, I'm pleasantly surprised by JKidd, honestly expected the previous hot pile of garbage he served up lol

Powell hasn't played?

I just believe in what is there. The two ifs for me are simply will it be used right and will everyone stay healthy enough? It's not a crazy amount of questions considering one isn't that hard to solve.

Luka was shattered near the end of the season and the small niggles started appearing, no doubt it will happen again - only so much he can take like. Also only so many time he can father teams, as much as I love seeing it.

Powell's injuries and general lack of fit with how the team plays are obvious when he's on. He's played garbage minutes a few times also I believe, a few min last time and a bit more pre-season but it was... not great. 3y/33m in 2019 though, so we're giving him 11 mil for garbage time this year. Or desperation time big man again.

The hope has to be they can package Powell and/or Bertans for something useful but yes those two make a lot for not much
