But also I'm still of the opinion that the Mavs FO is doing crap sideways moves and his time with us will either never amount to anything in the playoffs or he'll go to any other team willing to build properly and win the lot.

It's taken some time but I'm in on this. You've got a top 2 offensive player now paired with a top 10 guy and some serviceable pieces around him. The ceiling is way higher even if the floor is now complete disaster. But the floor was pretty low anyway and the ceiling not nearly as high.

I don't know what the chances are that it works but I think it's worth a shot.

Chances are Kyrie gets offended at nothing and leaves in a bit anyway.

I can see the type of player that Kyrie is on paper and how it's worked well for him - yeah, he's a fantastic player and he doesn't demand the ball and can play offball... but it's also controversial antivax etc. etc. etc. Kyrie.

Who are the serviceable pieces around him tho? This trade involved Markieff Moris apparently coming to Dallas and going out are Dinwiddie and DFS. So those 2 and picks in '27 and '29 for Narcissistic Brunson so that we can go "win now", as he might leave at the end of the season anyway.

At least in Texas he'll be 'one of the good ones' as an antivax antisemite I guess.
