He's had several high scoring games this season but has been a bit up and down with form (scoring 40 one game, 10 the next and stuff like that) and the team is overreliant on Luka in the playoffs. Why I said I would like to see everyone step up, him included.
Probably rejuvenated Denver in Conference finals, that 0-2 against Minnesota and subsequent critics/underrating by "experts" seems to reawakened the beast.

They pretty much sleepwalked through series against Lakers and first 2 games vs Minnesota.

Think it's the conference finals exit for the Mavs again really, provided they turn up next game. Not that this is a bad thing but I think personally Luka will benefit from a finals appearance at least.

Then again all the rats will come out and slander it somehow anyway lol

How are the Knicks doing against the Pacers? Last I saw it was 2-2 I think? I've become a Knicks fan the last couple of weeks. Don't know anything about basketball though
3-2 up, play again in sat night. Great series of games so far.

I’m the same with Bball and the knicks mate, hooked now due to my recent trip and going the MSG.

That’s awesome! I grew up in New York (Long Island) but have only made it to one Knicks game. Tickets were hard to come by and very expensive in the 90s, so we’d go to New Jersey to see the Nets.

This Knicks team has a lot of heart and grit- it’s the type of basketball that New Yorkers most appreciate. It’s how the game is played in the parks and playgrounds throughout the area (no blood, no foul 😂). Celtics are far more talented and should make it to the Finals but they are soft imo.

If you have some time, check out some clips of those mid-90s teams with Ewing, Charles Oakley, and Anthony Mason
It was a once in a lifetime experience, tickets were silly expensive, but I’m so glad we managed to get them and go.

The whole crowd, the sounds and interactions, was insane. We started talking to a couple of brothers from Brooklyn who were sat next to us and felt like we’d known them for years; really funny nice fellas, a bit mad like us scousers, they made it an amazing time. Just dead funny. Everyone we spoke to was great. An Unreal experience and prob the highlight of our trip.

I’m really into it now, really like this knicks team, just as you said, they represent New Yorkers, and Brunson has been just incredible.

I will absolutely look up those mid-90s clips mate, thank you.

Let’s go knicks!

That was tense

SGA has been amazing all series
They are currently what Dallas were before this season - they've got an amazing All Star calibre player but the pieces around him are weak.

Both teams that are potentially going to the WCF are very slippery for Dallas, so hopefully we get past them somehow (and get rekt by Boston afterwards probably lol )

That was one ugly game-winning possession. Mavs were solid down the stretch, with some fortune to have a couple of those circus shots drop.

Not having much in the way of offensive ideas in crunch time beyond "give it to Luka" is a bit concerning, going into the conference finals. I was a bit surprised that the Thunder didn't find a way to stop him from using Washington as a wide-open outlet. I suppose he's the least dangerous man to leave open if you want to double, but he didn't stay in the league by missing looks that open, or by not drawing contact.

If you don't like that then you just don't like Mavs basketball.

Washington's been a standout performer since he's joined honestly - I'm also critical of the lack of game plan but Kidd has gotten the team playing like an actual team despite that somehow and the recruitment's been on point to complement Luka and Kyrie. Not exactly the same "underdog" vibe as in 2011, but can see why people say it's similar - someone always seems to pull through in the clutch when needed.

Injuries too much for the knicks, sad end to a promising season.

Hope they go again next season, I’m in now! 🤣

Best of luck to the pacers, played some great stuff tonight from the field.
