Who do people follow? I've been a Bucks fan since I got the PS 1 game Total NBA 98 so I'm not just a bandwagon fan!! Not since 2001 have the bucks looked good it's nice to see a team I support sitting top of their sport.
Nets. Not a huge fan but when I was growing up on Long Island, Knicks tickets were too expensive, hard to get so my dad and I would trek over to NJ to see the Nets. Got to see Drazen Petrovic a couple times. He’s one of my all-time favoritesWho do people follow? I've been a Bucks fan since I got the PS 1 game Total NBA 98 so I'm not just a bandwagon fan!! Lakers - since I'm from S. California. My husband's team are the Celtics. Big rivalry makes things interesting at my house! hahaWho do people follow? Bulls since Jordan. Been very up and down since. Hopefully on the way back up now, couple decent young players (Markennen and Carter Jr). Doncic looks great and really like the look of Trae Young (went off in a 4OT game against the Bulls on Friday). Wanted us to draft him, but we were too low in the draft. Happy with Carter tho, think he could be really good down the line, but out for the season now
I think it’s akin to the Clippers/Lakers in that even when the Clippers were better the Lakers were still a much bigger team. My Dad’s generation who followed Dr. J on the New York Nets are pleased with the moveAre the Nets finally being accepted as a NYC team, or are they just (and always will be) "not the Knicks?"
The loss of the Sonics is one of the great injustices of American sport. They’ve had generations of great basketball fans. I’m too young to have seen the championship team but loved that mid 90s team with Payton, Kemp, Schrempf and Sam Perkins. Perkins, with his minimal vertical, gave me hope for a basketball careerSonics fan.
I remember 1979 Championship team. Gus Williams and "Downtown" Fred Brown were my favorite players. Sikma, DJ, JJ, Silas, and Shelton being others that immediatly pop into my head from that team.
The Xavier McDaniel, Dale Ellis, Chambers teams in the late 80's were fun to watch. Dale Ellis in his prime was an amazing shooter. I wanted to be him. Run around 10 picks each possesion and just catch and shoot.
Of course the Kemp/Payton years were also very fun. GP initially looked like a bust, bust he worked his tail off to develop a consistent jump shot. Once he had offense to go along with all time defensive skills he was a HOF level player.
Having moved to the Bay Area in 2003 and living there for 12 years I did adopt the Warriors when they drafted Steph Curry.

I bet that’s fun when you play each other lol. Would love to go to a celtics Lakers game at the Boston garden.Lakers - since I'm from S. California. My husband's team are the Celtics. Big rivalry makes things interesting at my house! haha
That kid is crazy good. Lots of Mavs fans near me and they're all rightfully excited about him. Adding Kristaps only fuels their excitement.
Luka has got me back into following the Mavericks. I let them and the NBA in general go after they won the title in 2011 because I didn’t think that championship run could ever be topped. It’s a shame Dirk aged about 25 years this offseason, it would have been fun to see him properly working with Doncic.
