Pels pre-season opening tonight. Got Bledsoe and JJ out for "medical protocol" reasons whether that's code for COVID or not who knows. Adams a doubt too so looking like same line-up as last season minus Jrue.
Oh nah, based on that alone they did better, but Washington isn't Russ's team, and he wants every team to be his team. Expect volume shooting and more "Russel Westbrick" shouts ASAP. He'll no doubt beef with someone for no reason, it's who he is.
Is Zion playing?
I'm gutted we missed on Adams, love him. WCS is also good plus adds more shooting imo, but I just can't help but love Adams.
He's not listed as missing/doubtful so hoping to see him! Be nice if Kira Lewis Jr gets some minutes too.
It'd be an interesting season if Zion stays healthy for most of the year. He is prone to his knees exploding but we'll see.
With him and Adams I see every possession being a bruising PnR for either lol
Kira is quite hyped, but I've not seen anything about him. Hope to see some highlights tomorrow like. Love it when rooks show up big
I'm hoping he'll play similar to Fox.
Tbh if he follows Fox's progression it will still be good for the Pels - I remember Fox was very below average (based on the expectations for him) for huge stretches of his first season but then settled very well in his next ones. I don't know what is expected of Kira this year tbh, I didn't really follow the draft this close this time.
It was a very weak draft this year IMO compared to others. I think Kira will just be allowed to develop nicely without much pressure to perform considering the team is stacked with youngsters anyway. Big season for Hayes and NAW too.
We're in a similar situation with rookies tbh - they've come in without a huge bundle of expectation for them. It might lead to a good year all around for the youngsters.
*Side note - we have Rick Carlisle, who isn't too fond of the rookies and giving them instant playtime, unless, y'know, Luka.

Player Valuation: £70m
Kira is very interesting to me. He is rapid with a very good handle and has the potential to be a deadly 3 point shooter. It all comes down to whether he can initiate a half court offense somewhere down the line which has been the Pels achilles heel forever.
He certainly suits the fast paced Pels style anyway. Just hoping Van Gundy can sort out a truly woeful defence last season.
Impressive win, albeit pre-season, over Miami last night with some key players missing. Looks like Zion has been been working on his free-throws making 10/11. Strong start.
Did Kira play?
Good win again for us vs. the Bucks. JRich showing up big - hope he can maintain a good level, we'll need someone to take the scoring off of Doncic at times. Hardaway Jr. too inconsistent for that.
Also Green getting good minutes came as a surprise, but a welcome one. He seems to be balling out, good handle and decent court vision. Shame we had to let go of JJ Barea because of him basically, but JJB (a.k.a. The LeBron Stopper) will be back soon as a coach really.
Yeh not sure on mins though as I haven’t watched highlights back yet. Seen a clip of him hitting a 3 and a lay up.
