Maupay is sensible business for a team in need of goals. Prem experience, played 32+ games each of the last several seasons, 8 to 10 goals each of the last few seasons, still a good age having just turned 26, and importantly, a very reasonable 16 mil fee.

Remember that Cornet and Dennis each just sold for 18 to 20 mil for similar stats and age. This is good business and in part offsets the loss of Richy. A flashy signing? No, but first priority is get goals in and stay up. Another forward and midfielder in by window close and I will feel better about our season going forward.

Same game, 1st half, he hit a volley about 30 yards out towards to the left touch line. Cant remember exactly if it hit the bar or got saved, but it wouldve been goal of the season if it went in. The sitter is what hes remembered for.
