It’s mad he’s brought him on over Simms even if it’s just for Simms height defensively never mind going forward got to feel sorry for Simms was doing ok at Sunderland pathetic we had to bring him back to play minimal minutes.

No he was injured for a few he played minutes in every game except the first one and think he was on the bench for maybe 3 games again our mismanagement has cost us as we should of had a more senior player available or bought one rather than bring him back.

We just sadly don’t have the players for that formation. Just not enough pace or ball retention in the back 4 or midfield 2. The trade off for having an extra attacker is just not worth it as Gueye and Onana would just be ran through trying to cover half the pitch as the CBs don’t have the pace to play a high line. It’s the same problem that every manager we’ve had since Martinez had had. CBs have to sit deep, pitch opens up, our midfielders are too slow to cover.
