Everton are just as culpable for putting the lad in that position tbh. They know that fans are angry and frustrated after 2 years of fighting relegation and the clubs continuing failure to bring in an experienced striker. The lad has scored something like 1 goal in the last 39 games and should never have been leading the line in the first game of the new season. You could literally put a defender up front and have a better chance of scoring a goal.

Doesn't excuse the scumbags that abused him by any means, they should all be found and banned.

Cannon played the first 90 of pre-season and has been injured since up until this week and Dobbin's not a striker.

Genuinely haven't a clue why people are blaming Dyche for playing the only 'proper' striker we have fit.

I'd presume you mean Branthwaite there but we'll have to wait and see whether he's getting bled into the side or not.

Don't think last season was the one to be giving minutes to players without any senior football to there name and have since gone on loans to League One and Two sides.

Anyway, like I said before, there's an immense difference between justified criticism and vile, offensive comments like we saw yesterday, and there'll be more.

The comments probably came from some jarg accounts, those with mental issues, maybe they were teenagers, maybe they weren't even evertonians and some international kopite? (Who are clearly obsessed with us)

These ppl will always exist and dont see the world the way we do.

Immediate term: id advise the players to ditch social media.

Long term: wait until the big tech companies do something about it.
