Are we ignoring the shocking misses? He could've had a few last year if he knew how to shoot - even with our lack of forward play he still had a few chances and in most didn't even shoot on time as he has to take 17 extra touches because of his lack of technique.

Same as he was for Brighton - except they have forward moving and attacking play, creating chances a lot, he scores 1 out of every 4 or 5. We just don't create enough and even tho it's not his fault he should've been able to, you know, convert the few he had. Or at least got an accurate shot off at least once.
I was over exaggerating the fact we misused him, it didn't help.

Not saying he would of banged them if he was played in his natural role.

Let's not pretend he didn't miss about 10 sitters christy brown would have finished
Also let's not pretend we didnt misuse him, we buy a 5ft 8 striker and play him as a target man lol.

Not denying he's probably not good enough, but we didn't help by playing him out of his role

I don't understand this loan at all.

Iwobi I understand and approve, Cannon I understand as well and I would guess the player wanted a permanent move to help him build a career. I also think he was coming to end of his contract.

But Maupay allowed to leave when we have already lost Iwobi and Cannon and have not signed any replacement makes no sense.

We are now down to the bare bones in terns of player numbers, we can't afford any injuries.

Maupay isn't great but does work hard and could do alright playing off DCL or Beto.

Actualy think you are right. With Beto DCL and Danjuma the pressure isnt on him to deliver everything. Brentford put a lot of thought into their signings so they clearly see him adding something.
Maupay on his own at Everton? No point. Maupay with new signings just added to the squad? Makes sense.
