Couldn't bring myself to start a thread on this coz it sounds well jarg. According to Marca, we've offered 12 million for Roberto Soldado. According to the same article, he's the only player Valencia are determined to keep hold of. Actually wouldn't surpise me if Bill asked them who was transferable. When they replied ''everyone accept Soldado'' he said, ''I'll give you 12 million for him''.

I've put this in the Negredo thread coz they came through together at Real Madrid and I can't hear talk of one without thinking of the other.

I dont see why we would bid for players without a Manager.

Very similar mate. Same age I think too.

Negredo is stronger I think and Soldado a bit quicker.

But no manager, no signings is the best way to think at the moment I think. I'd get my hopes up too much otherwise!

Soldado is a very good player different to Negredo but will score the same amount of goals roughly. If Roberto Martinez is our manager next season I understand he knows Soldado quite well so it could be something to think about. To those who WE'RE SKINT blah blah blah. There is going to be a big influx of cash this summer with the TV money, also we'll have an extra couple of million from being covered on television a lot this season and finishing a place higher this year and I understand the next manager will be on less wedge then Moyes was. So there will be money to make signings this summer.
