Hi All,

I'm sad to confirm that Neiler has decided to no longer moderate GrandOldTeam;

I love the forum and will try and contribute as much as ever and as i can but i think i would enjoy it for a while as a user

Neiler is no doubt a top Bloke and in addition to the above, through his own integrity admitted life circumstance meant he couldn't moderate the forum as much as it deserved.

I do hope Neiler will one day return, and we're keeping that chair ready for him should he ever wish.

Neiler - thanks for everything mate. You've been here since day one and have done more than most will realise to make GrandOldTeam what it is now.

Charlie Adams favourite mod!

Me and him had our differences over the years but other than some questionable views on certain players lol he was alright.

Can he now be banned next time he calls Tim Howard gash?

Haha I love how he'd sucker new posters in with his "love" for Charlie Adams, I think Downing was another, the original popcorner if you will.

Wanted to give a shout out to the rest of the team behind the scenes past and present:

D&D
Bruce
Muggs
Bill
Welts
Mick
Grouch

and

Dutch
Basil

A lot of unseen work goes on here - something that's not widely visable or recognisable when you post day to day - its one of those situations were you just expect everything to work and does put takes a lot to keep it that way and preserve the atmosphere. The lads who Admin and Mod in a lot of ways have to change and sacrifice their own posting style and experience to make it what it is for others, to maintain but also develop and progress the site. The days of 10 of us being online are long gone, there are over 16.000 members on here and that's a hell of a lot of relationships and dynamics to manage day to day over a long period time through: the highs and lows of cup finals, Euro nights, poor form, semi disappointments, being skint, Kenwright in and out shake it all about, and melt seasons - im sure those who have been here for a while will agree with that and its something i think the team but the whole community need to take credit for - in short we're all ace. Thanks to all to all the posters who in the main have been sound with the odd warning and slap on the wrist, the place is bigger then any of us and is for everyone.

So in summary, Barton could still do a job for us, Charlie Adams stats are class and Celtic might win the league this year!
