OK, said it. Won't happen again. Nice to see the corporate business masquerading as a football club killed off for now. Unfortunately, money will out, and they will win something soon.

I was in the bath last night and had the radio on and was thinking of extra time when lo and behold, he scores right at the end, and I said something that I will not repeat on here.

Evertonian or not, there's something unsavory about seeing the rotund one heaving around the Old Trafford field of play with his diminishing hair and chubby frame, there's a part of me that can't stand this player now, and it will get worse during the World Cup, i'll be hoping that he fails and falls flat on his chubby face in South Africa, and we can move on to pre-season and domestic issues.

I really did want the blue half of Manchester to prevail last night, that was just nasty the way what happened to them last night, they haven't had to see any player lift any significant silverware since 1970, and it's even been nearly 34 years since the last acutal trophy.

United on the other hand, winning pots every season nearly, look at the list of honors since the last City win, I can't begrudge the latter a chance of glory, and good luck to them, I hope they do well in future seasons.

They will have bigger fish to fry than the League Cup, a tournament that I won't say is borderline Mickey Mouse, but one some people fail to recognize.

You're on a wind up aren't you mate?

Not at all, and you probably didn't think that I was.

Being completely candid I was, not much time for Rooney these days, wanted City to prevail, and am hoping he has a wretched summer.

that's from my own perspective, others can think as they like.

Cross that bridge when we find it, far too premature for such high hopes or any aspirations.

He's a class act - why hold a grudge? If he should return in 5 or 6 years time, those slating him will be made to look foolish and hypocritical.

As for City, why would you want to see them win anything with a fantasy football team?

Your right mate. Rooney is a class act. Ignore this fella he must be on the wind up or has just has a bad day.

The only way England will do well in the World Cup (Which i would like to see them do in my lifetime) is if the English players are playing well as there is loads of quality English players at this moment in time. Rooney included. (y)
