he will be 31 in january.

we bought him for 3.5M

so far hes been a good servant, speaks highly of the club and fans.

most importantly he sets a good example, and does his best to rally the troops, especially evident a couple of seasons ago when some players would stop concentrating towards the end of games.

i say keep him, let him see his career out with us, it means he wont have to move his family to the drab northeast, one thing i ask though, he has to cut the own goals out.
 
I'm with you there. When Moyes bought him I was, let's just say "less than enthusiastic". I still prefer him at RB, but he definitley gives 100% and seems a decent and popular leader among the players.

Although it looks to me like the real captain, when playing, is Stubbsy - seems the others defer to him, even Arteta at the free kick.
 
Any offer is worth considering no matter how small. If nothing else the consideration is whether or not the offer should be laughed at or just thrown into the garbage immediately.
