Listen to the plank...Carrots dangled and going out with whimpers , Idiot.

For full effect, that should be listened to with this image:

I can't see what the big deal is here. If anything it was perhaps a dig at Pienaar for doing all of those things. We're probably all feeling a bit rubbish at the moment with results as they are but lets not toss out the knee jerk reactions.

Stuff like these Neville comments dont help either. Seriously - if you're captain is saying he or other players would be within their rights to put a transfer request in, what does that do for morale in the squad?

Within their rights to put a transfer request in? Maybe he's said some other things since then, I haven't read the whole thread, but in the original post he merely says that many players would have done, and he's right, most players would have done. Loyalty means diddly these days. Good grief, talk about wanting to feast upon your own right now. Pull yourselves together.

Pienaar gave quite an interview this weekend which was reported in the Sunday Times. Basically saying how happy he was to be at Spurs with some of his old Ajax friends.

wish he would shut up like a 2011 version of mick lyons, do it on the pitch not in the papers

Gotta chuckle really. Bill gets slammed for not talking in the press (although it's worth noting that he pretty much always gets slammed if he does talk to the press as well). Neville gets slammed for talking in the press. Some folks will find their angle no matter what.

Neville is a footballer. His job as captain might mean he's expected to give a comment once in a while. It isn't to be in the press more than anyone at the club almost every single week with the same message. In the best of times such self promotion might be tolerated, right now patience is wearing thin with it.

He's earned more respect than he's getting in this thread. We all know he is one of the only proper football personalities left in the game, he's being judged by one comment that is up for your own interpretation - when things aren't going right we've always got to bite at anything we can.

All kenwright does is lie why would you want to listen to his rubbish. The thing with neville is he speaks too much and has been shocking bar a few games since christmas.

It's funny how he never said a word during the whole transfer window with the Neville to spurs rumours flying around. Now as if by magic he releases another rallying call straight out of his box of cliched gringeworthy speechs...

if he siad anything new or it made the slightest bit of diffrence to how the team perform ,i d back him, as it is it hasnt.not a reflection on him as a player as i think he is one of the few that gives a toss, they should put up or shut up.bill can keep his thoughts to himself im well past caring what he says, unless its goodbye folks, as he walks of into the distance tears in in eyes, cheque in his pocket, and a one way ticket to ballookaville or were ever second rate actors retire to

Neville, shut up. Just shut the feck up.

Learn to play football instead of mouthing off to the press. Useless, egotistical git.

Spot on.
