New contract for Dyche this summer?

Should we give Dyche a new contract?

Im a big fan of what Dyche has done with what hes been given and think its likely hes about the best option for this coming season. That said, I dont see the point in extending him, as the new owners will be saddled with that and may have higher plans than our current "keep the lights on and sell everyone not nailed down" strategy. The main priority for the future success of the club is having the right owners come in and be free to execute a good vision and they should be free to make that decision.

Of course if Moshiri were half way to half-competent we would have sold to someone by now and they could decide that this summer, but hes not.

Can we look forward to the grim reaper visiting Goodison again🤣
He's not going to Utd mate.
We've discussed Dyche to death on here , my take is he's the best we can hope for for taking into account the position we're in.
Hes worked a small miracle IMO keeping us up the last two seasons (Check out how many thoughtvwe were going down in the last 2 relegation threads, wasn't just @matty1878 🙂. We need continuity and familiarity, let's extend his contract for a season and see where that takes us.

I'd give him a 1 year extension to get us through our first year at BMD with some consistency, then see where we are.
That is sensible.
It would ensure stability without over committing to a lengthy contract.

It will be hard enough to get good players to join Everton but will be far more difficult if there is uncertainty about the managers job and if he gets into the last year without some agreement then there will be uncertainty.

Would people prefer Dyche over Moyes if it came down to it? Moyes proved he could move us forward with very little money, would fans trust Dyche to do the same?
I just think if Dyche went then why Moyes? Been there done that. There are plenty of younger hungrier managers than "Knife to a gunfight" Moyes. Dont think theres a great deal between either as managers. Both are decent enough at managing low expectation sides where staying up is deemed success and that suits their managerial style and ambitions. Would rather look for someone hungry and ambitious than the same old tried and tested merry go round favourites.

What's the rush?

….assured continuity and security.

The last thing we’ll need is another manager search and the likelihood of getting another dud. Dyche is working within a basket case and being widely lauded for the amazing job he’s doing, he might well be courted by clubs with much more stability than ours and something could appeal if the turmoil here continues.

Get him signed up, he’s vital to our future.

Not sure if you're aware just how skint we are. We should not be giving anyone pay rises that don't need one.

Silva and Lampard were young and hungry. Been there done that too recently and it's never ended well.

We need stability and we were under Moyes, he took us from a similar position we are in now, but I know that was a long time ago and football has changed a bit.

I'm not advocating for him like just interested in people's thoughts

Yeah and for every Lampard there are success stories at other clubs. Just because it didnt work for us with them doesnt mean we should never take a chance again does it? I also think Moyes time at the club was a hell of a lot rosier than it is at the moment so who is to say he would fare as well as previously? Im not saying you are advocating for him im just responding to your question. Simple answer then. At the moment Moyes or Dyche? Dyche.

I think you're overestimating how courted he is. I really don't see a team coming in this Summer and taking him from us.

….i disagree and i also wouldn’t be surprised if he’s feeling he should be rewarded for his performance. The best should be locked down just as we do with players we need to keep.

You dont think the 15million hes been paid so far is a reward?
