Player Valuation: £70m
Ok to keep with the theme. The fallout is grim, but it may not be so bad.

Now why don't we go the same way as Rugby and Cricket. And rebuild.

We now have 3 years to prepare for the next World Cup (inc qualifiers), so why don't we gamble with some youngsters from now until the end of the season, and then start the qualifiers with a fresh side.

I don't see the point in playing Beckham playing on now after he gets his token 100th cap. I don't think there is a more proud English man then him when he is on the pitch, and it means the world to him. He does his best, but his legs are not going to keep up with the modern game and so he should not play after his 100th game.

Same for Lampard, Sol Campbell, David James, and perhaps even Owen or Gerrard should step aside.

So lets pick a side that will be under 30 by the time the next world cup finals start.

GK - Carson

LB - Baines
CB - Steven Taylor
CB - Curtis Davies
RB - Richards

LM - Milner
CM - Giles Barnes
CM - Gareth Barry
RM - Lennon

ST - Walcott
ST - Rooney

That is spot on Ghost. We should now look to the World Cup and start with a blank canvas. Whoever is the manager should write off many of the current squad.

So having this happen is a wake up call. The last batch of players have failed to reach their potential, need to let the youngsters come in and show us what they can do.

he needs stability, along with yobo he has pace alongside him, allowing to push up and get back with a degree of certainty and position.

who has he played for england with in defence, and who has been in midfield helping cover?

if he gets the elbow then its good for everton, but having got a taste of international football (although in tonights case a very sour one) then maybe he might want another shot.

a lot now depends on the incompetents at the FA and how they deal with the current incumbent at management level.
