the future is bright we just need the right people in to mould these guys and to get them to play with pride and passion

Good shout on Foster- I had forgotten about him. Good lot of players that and most be around for the 2014 world cup.

So its not all doom and gloom. I wanted us to qualify, I'm not like some scousers who don't care about England. I love my country and I want them to do well, and for me sometimes the need for International success is more important than me seeing the Blues win the league. Only because I've seen the Blues win twice and sampled that joy. The International success is always that missing piece that I want to experience.

However, last night I wasn't expecting us to do well because of the side he chose, but secretly I was hoping that some good would come out of the failure, and I think it will.

No longer should we be relying on certain players to pull us out of the [Poor language removed], because lets face it, they are unable to.

Hats off last night to Lampard for his penalty, but its a case of too late and not enough.

Hats off to Crouch for putting himself about, but it just isn't enough.

Same for Beckham, I'm glad he wants to continue, I just wish he would come back to England and play at the level we require, because there is no doubt that he can still play a pass, and cross the ball like no other.

I think, Gerrard needs to stop talking [Poor language removed] about England and put his money where his mouth is, like he does for Liverpool. Too often he was seen jogging back not really making the effort.

Sol has to have played his last game for England too, and I doubt we will see Gary Neville again. So this is it, we are moving on and we have a great bunch of lads below now waiting to come to the forefront and I am excited about the new dawn.

Yep I'll agree with Foster...based on Carson's shocking baptism of fire....what a howler.

Foster

Richards - Stephen Taylor - Lescott - Baines

Lennon - Huddlestone - Reo-Coker - Milner

Agbonlarhor - Lita
------------------------------------------
Subs - Carson, Onuhua, Barry, Vaughan, Michael Johnson.

The fa need to get the right people in now to get these lads ready for 2014 and you never know as we have said we have the ability we just need to channel it

He will be 35. Depends though if he can keep his fitness up, but it won't happen at LA.

There was a 37 year old last night in defence for Croatia, so its not about age, its about desire and fitness. Beckham certainly has the desire.

Yep, when he came on in the second half we looked a different side. if he still performs to that standard at 35 I don't see any reason why he shouldn't be involved in the England set-up for me he was the only one last night who showed any kind of desire.

He should get the captancy back if he moves over to england.

I like beckham but i can,t see him being involved in 2010 even if he was playing in the premiership at that time.

Well dropping him could well have been one of the reasons why he went to Galaxy. But each time he comes back he can still create chances, that is never in any doubt.

However, I think he needs to get back to English football asap. No offence to Americans but for type of intensity he needs to keep going, he isn't going to get it in the MLS. Although those Gridiron markings would have been a familiar sight. :)

If he throws his hat into the ring, and he is fit enough to compete, who else can play a ball like him. Age has nothing to do with it, its not as if he's an ageing fatboy like Gazza was.

I think he will have the brain but not the pace look how faster footie is getting i would rather us utilise the pace and skill of people like young and agbonlahor .

How old is Davie Weir? he still does a job for Scotland doesn't he and he must be ancient by now.

Perhaps in a sense your both right maybe Beckham should play 'Cameo' roles whilst we build our squad around the likes of Young and Agbonlahor throw him on everynow and again to change a game.
