Mine doesn't have the 1878 in the centre of the laurels, nor the god-awful new tower, the Everton text is much narrower in relation to the wreathes and a framing mechanism in the shield.

Either way, they're both poor. I wasn't suggesting mine was the answer, I was just using the Elstone guidelines. The tower is an absolute disgrace mate; like someone went the bog and shat out clipart and rolled with it.
I agree the clipart tower is stinking but the thing is, the tower is short and fat in real life. **** knows why it's all skinny, tall and spiralling on previous versions. It's like PSG having a small, stumpy interpretation of the eifel tower on their badge.
Having said all of this I'm kinda dissing our tradition so I'll shut me cake hole.

Did you use trace on the font? can tell it's a bit out of a shape. For future reference to any fans, the font is called "Matrix II Bold"
