The laurel wreaths DO symbolise something actually. Know your history. They symbolise success and victory.

And yes there's other stuff going on at the club, but the way we are being rode roughshod over on the badge issue is emblematic of everything else.

I'm not saying the badge should never change. I'm saying it shouldn't change to that travesty of a design.

Don't mess with tradition its all we knows.
The badge has changed over history a few times without the Latin or wreaths. Okay it looks a bit cartoonish but some of the moaning on here is just a bandwagon fest as usual. It's the white socks all again. The history is made memorable by good performances and silverware not an emblem or the colour of your socks. It all smacks of small time. We should really be more concerned with our impending manager situation.

Looked at it again this morning and I still hate it. I honestly don't mind the club updating or 'evolving' the badge as their terming it, but it's just the fact they've done such a bad job of it! I don't think it will change though, I think the powers that be are so narrow minded that all this criticism will go in one ear and out the other. Im not bothered about the fact its changed at all. Times change and all that, im not even bothered that NSNO has gone because lots of clubs have mottos that dont appear on their badge. The laurels should really have replaced the 1878.

The problem is this design has been out in the public for a good while now and its fair to say its almost universally hated. Sometime you will get a split regarding stuff like this where some will love it or hate it. This is mostly hated and yet the club still went ahead with it. Its really weird for the club to do that.

exactly, fair enough they've actually given reasons as to why they've done it, they want the name and year inside the shield, but fk me they could have done that in thousands of different ways and they all would've been better than this effort

One of the worst things about it is that it's fat. the tower has put on weight and the form of the crest is unflatteringly curvy.
