While it is a shocking piss take of the highest order.... They won't change it.
The amount of money spent on the merchandise, the rebranding, and the fact the new kits will have already been printed ready to be shifted, just means they'll take the heat from the fans hoping we all just take it on the chin.
They'll lose thousands, maybe even millions, if they pull the plug and change it. Even for next season.
Utter joke.
bill sold the kits ,season tkts for his pot of gold....now he dosent have a say in our badge mate.would guess that when the kit contracts were drawn up Nike blindsided Everton about control of production and content. Knowing the poor performance of the club's officers in dealing with this they probably asked for a little help in making it look like it was their doing when the reality is probably that they could do jack about it. Even now after a couple of days you'd think they would panic and make some sort of reconciliatory comment, if they could. My 'hunch' is that if this is to be changed or reversed it will cost the club a fortune, which would mean we could only afford a 3 month rolling contract for Stubbs as manager. Everton FC, bringing the spirit of Destination Kirkby to your doorstep...

hes a ****ing disgrace to the name of Everton.
does it not p1ss you off that for years people have been highlighting the attitude towards this club by the board and loads didn't bat an eyelid, change the badge and there's murder on the terraces...fools in high places
Maybe they won't change it for next season. They can change it for future seasons, starting 2014/2015. That's the point.
By coincidence (or maybe not), the Nike deal expires at the end of 2013/2014.

If a global brand such as Coca Cola can screw up by introducing New Coke, and within three months and after millions and millions of dollars spent, engage in a humiliating u-turn, anything is possible.

Stuff like this does happen - it's up to the consumers - and in our case, the fans - to make our feelings known loud and clear, and if the club doesn't listen, to take action until they do.
The club is nothing without the fans - or more importantly, they are nothing without the fans MONEY.
The new crest sucks ass.
