English fans are great... there are very few places in American sports where we have fans with that much passion and intensity. The only thing I can think of that comes close is college (american) football
Glad to have another Everton fan around!
But you might want to read up on your history (You'll be hearing that word a lot!)
We have been, and always will be, one of the biggest clubs in England. We might have been suffering a bit for the last 20 years or so but we are still the 4th most successful club in English football history. We were founding members of both the Football League and the Premier League and have spent more time than any other in the top-flight (107 seasons and counting baby)
And things could've turned out so differently in 1985/86 if it hadn't been fo..... Err never mind, bit stereotypical to say that bit!
Remember, we ain't underdogs anymore. On our day we can rip apart any team in the league. And the only thing belonging to Liverpool that's overshadowing Stanley Park these days is their debt bill!

I promise I will learn my Everton history hmmm, decades of success, and 20 years of futility, sounds about like my (american)football team that I follow
Who is your NFL team?
Good god not another one. Welcome anyway.
You seam your usuall self today.. Did you awake in your own vomet, you drunken Irish?
Hey guys... I love English football and I've been watching for years, yet I've never had a team to root for. I think I'm ready to love Everton... they seem to have a lot of the qualities that my favorite teams in American sports have, for example I am a Chicago White Sox fan... a team that is considered the "2nd team" in America's "2nd city", and we went 86 years without winning a championship, and I am not hopeful that I will ever see them win one again in my lifetime... we are middle of the pack in team salary, overshadowed by the other team in the city (The Cubs) and just can't compete with the big spending super-powers such as the Yankees and the Red Sox except once in a while when we manage to catch lightning in a bottle. I have always hated the big teams on principle, so Everton seems like a natural fit for me.
With all this backslapping with our friends across the sea, does this mean we can have our tea back??
